Feast of St Joseph:

Tomorrow is a special day for us as we celebrate the Feast Day of the Patron Saint of our School and Church.

Everything we know about the husband of Mary and the foster-father of Jesus comes from Scripture. We know he was a carpenter, and a caring and compassionate man in the way he took care of Mary and Jesus.  As our patron Saint, Joseph can teach us so much about our faith in God and love for others. Since Joseph does not appear in Jesus' public life, at his death, or resurrection, many historians believe Joseph had most likely died before Jesus entered public ministry. 

Prayer: 
Saint Joseph, patron of the universal Church, watch over the Church as carefully as you watched over Jesus, help protect it and guide it as you did with your adopted son. Amen 

Celebrating St Joseph’s Day: Wednesday 19 March 

We will be having a fun-filled day tomorrow to celebrate our patron saint’s feast day.

This will include the celebration of a whole school liturgy at 10.00 am. Badges will be officially distributed to our Mini Vinnies executive and representatives during the liturgy.

In the middle session, we were going to have Monty the Monstar’s Fun Run for the first time on St Joseph’s Day, but unfortunately the weather did not make it favourable to continue. Icy poles will still be given out to students during the day. 

In the afternoon, teachers have planned some fun St Joseph’s Day activities for students to complete in their classrooms.
